- IMNSHO, programs like HDSleep and HDoff cause too much wear and tear on the
- drive by starting and stopping the spindle/platters more than needed. This
- causes what's called "motor fatigue" and down the road in time your HD will
- refuse to spin up due to this problem a lot sooner than if you just leave it
- on all the time. Leaving the machine and HD turned on all the time produces
- much less wear and tear. But that's my opinion.
